Rates, Reservations and Refunds

What costs are included in the room rates?

Our rates are listed on our booking engine website here. 

In addition to the rate shown, the State of New Mexico requires us to collect an 11.875% lodging tax.

Rates published on this website are based on the lowest possible rates for each cabin. Rates include a maximum of 2-4 people per cabin based on cabin size. Extra persons are $25 each per night, including children.

Late checkout fee: we have a narrow window of time to get your cabin ready for our next guests. If you check out anytime after 11:00 am, you’ll be accessed a $50 late fee

What is the cancellation policy?

Summer cabin reservations for May 24 to August 18 and May 23 to August 16, 2025, are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Reservations for the remainder of the year can get a full refund for cancellations made 21 days in advance. A one-night stay will be charged for cancellations made less than 21 days in advance.

What is the Damage Policy?

Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing, blankets, and equipment, including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, games, artwork, etc., will be charged at 150% of the full and new replacement value, plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to lodge property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular cabin. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest.

What are your minimum stays?

Corkins Lodge always has a 2-night minimum stay. Some times of the year, including holidays and during the summer, some dates have a 3-night minimum stay. Please check our booking engine for dates and availability.

Do you have a late checkout fee?

How do I make a reservation?
How far in advance should I make a reservation?

During the “high season” (May 15–September 1) we recommend you book at least 2 months in advance—especially if you’re planning on reserving more than one cabin. In the off-season several weeks in advance is usually sufficient.

Is there a discount rate for an extended stay?

Yes. We often have writers, artists and retirees staying for a month or more. Call us for details and to make arrangements at  (575) 588-7261

Is it cheaper in the off-season?

Yes. Our rates are reduced between October and May. See our Online Booking Engine for the best rates during your stay. 

How many people are included in the rate?

Rates include 2-4 people per cabin depending on cabin size  – additional persons are $25 each per night. Extra charges apply to children and adults. 

Do you have additional fees?

Our booking rate is inclusive of all of our services and amenities, including WiFi. Rates include 2-4 people per cabin  – additional persons are $25 each per night. We charge $50 for leaving dirty dishes and $150 if you leave after 11:00 a.m. 

How do I make a reservation for a group?

We welcome groups and special events and can make arrangements to accommodate your dates and rooming needs. Contact us at (575) 588-7261 to make a group reservation.

Amenities

What is provided at Corkins Lodge?
  • New Free High-Speed, Reliable WiFi from Starlink available in all cabins.
  • All cabins have linens, blankets, and towels, a fully-equipped kitchen (including plates, dishes, cups, silverware, utensils), a wood stove, and a gas-fueled BBQ grill.

  • Cell phones: due to our remote mountain location, cell phone signals can be weak and inconsistent.
  • Parking on-site is included.
What do you recommend bringing?
  • All your own food (and spices). The kitchens are fully equipped to handle all your cooking needs.

  • Seasonally-appropriate outdoor clothing. Layers of clothing work best to handle the range of temperatures that can happen during the day: summer days will range from the high-50º’s (14ºC) at night to the mid-80º’s (30ºC) during the day; winters can range from below 0º (-18ºC) at night to the 40º’s (7ºC) during the day.

  • In all seasons have comfortable, sturdy shoes.

  • Hats, sunglasses, sunblock, insect repellent, and your bathing suit/towel for the pool (or river).

What is not permitted at Corkins Lodge?

Corkins Lodge is designed as a peaceful, natural retreat, so please remember to be considerate of other guests’eriences.

  • Pets are not allowed. This is to protect the wildlife on our property.

  • You should leave home anything that will disturb others, such as a loud stereo system.

  • We do not have televisions in any of our cabins.

  • Rock climbing is prohibited. You cannot scale the cliffs either with or without gear.

  • You cannot use ATVATV’s other motorized vehicles.

  • Hunting is not allowed on the Lodge grounds.

  • All cabins and community spaces are designated as non-smoking areas. Guests are only permitted to smoke on the cabin porches.

  • Please refrain from littering and dispose of any trash properly in the bear-proof trash cans outside.

  • No Campfires: The only fires permitted on Corkins Lodge grounds are the wood-burning stoves or fireplaces in your cabins.
Are Service Animals Permitted?

As Corkins Lodge is a wildlife preserve for the safety of your pet and the wildlife, we do not accept pets or emotional support animals.  Service Animals are welcome. However, they must be identified with a Service Animal vest and be on a leash and with their owner at all times, and cannot be left in the cabin alone.
