Cozy mountain retreat

My family and I stayed here, in the Penasco cabin, for 2 nights during November. It was a magical experience. Straight out of a Thomas Kinkade painting. Not yet winter, we had a gentle snowfall that blanketed the whole property in a fine white powder. Our cabin was roomy, 3 bedrooms, fireplace, hot water and plenty of space. The grounds have things like horseshoes, a playground, a gamesroom (which is only open during the warm months it seems) and a private lake for fishing. Amazing place, and worth every penny. It’s out of the way, but that’s what adds to the experience.
